If you found our website through a Google search engine inquiry, please check a map to ensure Hanna, Alberta is where you want to live. While we are fortunate to often have top search engine positioning for rentals in Alberta, it doesn't mean Hanna is a location close to where you want to live.

View a Rental Application Like a Job Interview

In major centers, the rental application process can be incredibly rigid—involving exhaustive credit checks, pay stubs, multi-layered reference screens, and formal interviews. Professional property managers always advise applicants to treat the process with the same seriousness as competing for a career position. If you don't, your chances of approval are slim.


While our approach is more personal, our standards are just as high.


As a privately owned property, we take the care and protection of our investment seriously. Our absolute priority is maintaining the quality, quiet enjoyment, and integrity of our building for everyone who lives here.


  • Mutual Trust: If we do not have complete confidence or trust in an applicant, we will not approve the tenancy.


  • Quality Over Occupancy: We would always prefer to let an apartment sit vacant rather than rush into an arrangement that compromises the peace of mind of our management or our current residents.


We look forward to reviewing applications from individuals who take pride in where they live and respect their community.

Important Property & Community Notes:

  • Community Quiet Standards: A significant majority of our residents are shift workers who require uninterrupted sleep at various intervals throughout the day and night. To maintain a respectful living environment for all, we strictly enforce comprehensive noise controls and quiet hours. Prospective residents should ensure their household’s daily routine aligns with an exceptionally quiet, high-density residential community.


  • Building Accessibility: Please be advised that our building’s physical infrastructure includes multiple flights of stairs and does not feature elevators or automated entry/exit doors. We highlight these structural details upfront so all applicants can fully evaluate the layout against their personal mobility requirements before proceeding with the application process.

Thanks for reaching out about our available apartments. As local, private owners, we take great pride in keeping our building clean, quiet, and well-maintained for all our residents. Because a large number of our tenants work shifts and appreciate their rest, we do a quick pre-screening to ensure our building is the right fit for your lifestyle.


To help us process your inquiry efficiently, please copy and paste the following questions into an email and send to:  microcap@gmail.com.  To avoid spam / scams, only complete submissions that meet our community criteria will be contacted. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.


  • Name(s) of the adults who would be living in the apartment:


  • Where do you currently live, and do you rent or own?


  • Roughly how long have you been at your current place?


  • What is bringing you to look for a new place to live at this time?


  • If you're moving to Hanna from out of town, what brings you to our community? (e.g., a new job, family, retirement)


  • What do you do for work, or what is your primary source of income? (If moving for a job, who will you be working with in town?)


  • Roughly how long do you plan on renting? (e.g., short-term or looking for a long-term home)


  • Are you looking for a 1-bedroom or a 2-bedroom layout?

Our Dog, Cat and Smoking Policy

We do not allow smoking within the building or on balconies but there is an area at the back. We are dog lovers, but unfortunately do not allow tenants to have a dog (risk of floor damage or barking).  For cat owners, we have set aside two apartments on our lower floor that will accomodate one cat each.

"All Inclusive" Apartment

We occasionally  have one all-inclusive two-bedroom apartment available for rent (minimum 2mths and maximum of 2 adults) for $1600/mth. This is fully furnished and includes all utilities + internet.  Tenant is responsible for carrying tenant insurance (approx. $300/yr) + damage deposit is $800 (damage or if you leave before the 2-month term). Renewal is then monthly.

We are located a block from a park, a 15 minute walk to the school, arena, hospital and groceries - or minutes by vehicle.

RV Owners

If you own an RV or Truck, you are welcome to park it on our large lot across the street free of charge. We have covered parking at the back of The Abby for cars.
